#07/20 “Semilla” Generative School – Part 2 – San Luis, Argentina

This Generative Institutional Educational Project was born in the province of San Luis (Argentina), a pioneer in regulating social and cooperative management as an integral state policy, to facilitate real pedagogical changes in the hands of the society, prioritising and giving its educators autonomy to choose the pedagogical orientation, the type of training and the use of the budget.

San Luis is the first province in Argentina to promote, regulate and finance educational transformation through social management, recognising the limitations of the traditional educational matrix and choosing the benefits of learning rights. Each school is different and its pedagogical project is defined by its authors and the team of teachers who initiate and sustain them.

Generative Schools are state schools and free; socially managed; non-graded; and favour the freedom of their students, taking them as the centre of the learning process. They can be implemented by legal entities such as social organisations, foundations, non-profit civil associations, non-governmental organisations and sports clubs. The state guarantees financial support to cover material needs that are not of structural nature, in order to ensure minimum conditions for innovative pedagogical projects.

“Semilla” Generative School seeks:
– To develop an integrated model where the Being, gradually, can fend for themselves and in collaboration with their environment, to strengthen links and meaningful learning;
– To facilitate the embracing with the ancestors, knowing and taking their roots, the legacy that beats in their DNA, and thus restore the balance of their physical, mental and emotional health;
– To bring tools for the management of their emotions and conflicts, through mediation, assembly, conscious and empathic listening.
– To ace in practical life the challenges that strengthen students to reach food sovereignty and thus be able to grow together our food, our natural medicine and develop our housing, in balance and love for Nature and all the kingdoms of creation.

The 7 Pillars that support their Institutional Educational Project or PEI (IEP) are  Love for the earth – Sacred Geometry – Peace Culture – Educatiooon 3000 – the Asiri Method, feeling and thinking – the Gestalt Approach, creative process – Systemic Pedagogy, ancestral family dimension.

It is important to point out that our school has primary, secondary and youth levels, feeling and functioning as a whole, where we live together as an educational community, without borders or divisions.
The teaching team goes through a creative process to understand the methodology and all that each dimension/petal/pedagogical development contains, experiencing dynamics that integrate the contents from FEELING – DOING – THINKING, choosing a monthly theme that invites us to plan together.
– Feeling, living the experience, making it our own;
– Doing, applying it, in my willingness, I materialise it;
– and Thinking, reflecting on what has been done, discovering knowledge, appropriating it.
