The Educational Space “Guayacán, el 8vo Pétalo: an active learning community” acknowledges itself as “one heart”.
This holistic and integral school is based on Permaculture, Multiculturalism and Peace Culture. They are inspired by Pedagooogia 3000, 4000, 5000 (and 100000 hahaha), and the Andean worldview (cosmovision) on education and the development of the Being that is the perfect balance between heaven and earth. We are one, a single heart that beats strong and it is linked beyond borders…
So they started to dream and plan a school with open doors, a school that is a bridge of wisdom, love, ancestry, fun, learning and friendship. They approach cooperation, community work, and planetary consciousness embracing the culture of each family, each school, each region, in each part of the world.
Like everything in life, things are built in a network, and how much enjoyment there is in that!
So, they thought about their mission: to be an alternative to formal education, and while they dreamt about it, they wanted it to be state-run. It was then that they formed a non-profit civil association, which gave them the necessary legal framework.
Many thanks to these “crazy cute people called friends and (…) astral angels” who are part of this new educational paradigm that beats with a pure heart.
