"Ruka Ayllu" is a 7 Petal School for Peace based on the educational proposal by Pedagooogia 3000.
Ruka means "house" in Mapudungun (Mapuche) and Ayllu means "community" in Quechua.
They link the needs of each student with the 7 petal school and the national curriculum. To a large extent they have been doing this through the Project Based Learning (PBL) methodology. Their classrooms are multigrade classrooms, children of different ages meet together and develop projects together.
