The Holistic Retreat called “Inner Self” is a space designed to carry out activities based on the 7 Petal School Programme by Pedagooogia 3000 / Educatiooon 3000.
Those who carry out this programme are the students from 1st to 5th Year of Secondary School of the Private Educational Institution “Peruano Suizo de los Andes” in Cusco (Peru) in alliance with the Centre for Environmental Education and Human Development of the Sacred Valley of the Incas. This activity lasts five days and the development of each of the petals on a daily basis is covered, starting at 5am for the Blue Petal at the beginning of each day.
What is it done in each petal or pedagogical area?
What is included in the development of each Petal is as follows:
1. Physical Wellbeing Area (Blue), for which they begin with physical exercises through movements such as Brain Gym®, gymnastics, Chinese cane, Chi Kong, yoga, circular dances, and Gurdjieff’s movements.
2. Cognitive Area (Yellow) which includes activities of Sacred Geometry, Communication, Science-Technology…
3. Emotional and Multicultural Area (Pink), which includes activities that develop the individual-social-environmental Peace Culture, Social Sciences, interpersonal activities such as activities of self-awareness, and walks.
4. Arts Area (White), including theatre activities, music and other means of creative expression.
5. Ecological Area (Green), which develops environmental care activities, such as cleaning the river and the spaces where the activities take place.
6. Production Area (Red), which enables projects such as the production of cocoa paste, jams, granola, yoghurt, bread, etc., as well as group development activities such as cleaning, cooking and tidying up.
7. Personal Development Area (Violet) with activities to update the inner potential, through mediation practice and the recognition of values and the purpose of life.
With the development of this scheme, we manage to initiate our young people in the knowledge of life, the correct management of their Emotional Intelligence, the clarity of their transcendental life purpose and their living within the framework of Peace Culture.
It should also be noted that this programme is applied to the teachers of the Educational Institution and it is tested in the Environmental Educational Centre so that it can be carried out in group retreats that have the purpose of making an immersion one.
